ABOUT:

I adore all things culinary and viticulture related, the sensual and seasonal elements of cooking and wine-making, the social aspects of the tasting room or dinner party, the physicality of crush and farm harvest, and the aesthetic possibilities of the garden, kitchen and table. As a photographer, each aspect of food and wine making, serving and setting, is subject matter that I relish.

My style is editorial, warm, naturalistic and it is a good fit for clients desiring socially inviting, storytelling images to lure in new customers, excite the existing ones, or simply to help solidify their brand.

I use my event-photography background to capture the social aspects of a tasting room, a farm party, or a culinary collaboration with a chef, and my background working with artists allows me to thoughtfully convey winemakers and farmers in classic environmental portraiture using natural light.

Working with a winery or chef begins with a conversation about what makes each business unique, what is their story, and how images might assist in their storytelling and brand. Then we move on, discussing how to make a shoot most fruitful, create a schedule, often across one to two days, for a range of light and scenarios. Images are then available to use in branding, social media, mailings and more.
